Mark Stone Signs Two-Year Contract Extension 🗿✍️
On Saturday, September 12, the Golden Knights signed Captain Mark Stone to a two-year contract extension through the 2028-29 season worth an average annual value of $9 million. The captain will continue to lead the Golden Knights through the 2028-29 season.
Vegas acquired Stone from the Ottawa Senators on Feb. 25, 2019, and less than two years later, Stone was named the Golden Knights’ first-ever captain. Stone has appeared in 400 VGK games, registered 396 points (136G, 260A) in gold and leads Vegas with a +112 rating.

Stone has also skated in 102 playoff games as a Golden Knight, netting a team-leading 43 goals through the years. Stone became the third player to record a hat trick in a Stanley Cup-clinching victory, scoring in the 9-3 Game 5 win against the Florida Panthers.
Internationally, Stone has represented Canada at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, where he won silver, and the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, where he took home gold. Stone also competed for Canada in the 2016 and 2019 IIHF World Championships.
