2026 Stanley Cup Final ⚔️
The Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes faced off in the 2026 Stanley Cup Final from June 2 to 14.
On Tuesday, June 2, the Golden Knights meet the Hurricanes for Game 1 at the Lenovo Center.
Vegas took a 1-0 lead with a 5-4 win over Carolina. Shea Theodore, Ivan Barbashev, William Karlsson and Brett Howden all scored goals, while Tomas Hertl netted the game-winner with less than four minutes left in the contest.
After the Hurricanes tied the series 1-1, Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final shifted to T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, June 6.
Tomas Hertl got the Golden Knights on the board first, and Mitch Marner scored three goals in 6:10 to record his second hat trick of the postseason. Marner’s hat trick was the fastest in Stanley Cup Final history. Marner also surpassed the most playoff points in Golden Knights history.
Carolina came back to tie the score, 4-4, and send the game to overtime. Shea Theodore netted the game-winning goal 5:38 into double overtime to give the Golden Knights a 2-1 series lead.
The Carolina Hurricanes won the next three games to take the series in six games. Even though Vegas came up short, Mitch Marner finished the postseason with the most points (29) in the NHL, while Brett Howden recorded the most goals (14) and Jack Eichel tallied the most assists (20) in the playoffs.
