2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Round 2 vs. ANA

The Golden Knights battled the Anaheim Ducks in the Second Round Series. In six games, Vegas took the series over Anaheim to move on to the Western Conference Final for the fifth time in nine seasons.

On May 4th, the Golden Knights beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 to take a 1-0 lead at T-Mobile Arena in the second-round series. Brett Howden, Ivan Barbashev, and Mitch Marner all scored goals in the Game 1 victory. William Karlsson returned to the lineup for the first time since Nov. 8 2025. The Anaheim Ducks went on to tie the series, 1-1, in Game 2 at T-Mobile Arena on May 6.

On May 8, the Golden Knights beat the Anaheim Ducks 6-2 at Honda Center to pull ahead in the series 2-1. Marner netted his first career hat trick, while Shea Theodore, Brayden McNabb, and Brett Howden found the back of the net in the win. Once again, the Anaheim Ducks pulled the series even 2-2 in Game 4 at Honda Center.

On May 12, the Golden Knights beat the Ducks 3-2 in overtime at T-Mobile Arena. Pavel Dorofeyev scored two goals, including a power-play goal and the game-winner in overtime. Tomas Hertl netted the other goal for Vegas in the third frame.

On May 14, the Golden Knights returned to the Honda Center with the opportunity to clinch the Second-Round Series over Anaheim in Game 6.

Mitch Marner got the Golden Knights going with a highlight reel goal.

Brett Howden netted his third short-handed goal of the postseason, Shea Theodore scored on the power play, and Pavel Dorofeyev notched two goals to seal the 5-1 victory. With this win, the Golden Knights took the second-Round Series 4-2 to move on to the Western Conference final for the fifth time in nine seasons.

The Golden Knights advance to the Western Conference Final to take on the Colorado Avalanche, marking the second postseason matchup between the two teams.
