2025 VGK Road Trip!

The Vegas Golden Knights embarked on their ninth road trip on July 12th to the 17th, the team stopped to South Lake Tahoe and Reno to Northern Nevada for their annual road trip. They also returned to Arizona for the third time since September 26, 2024 and their announcement of the ability of broadcasting Golden Knights hockey to fans in the Phoenix and Tucson markets.

The Road Trip officially kicked off in South Lake Tahoe as over 100 kids ages from 5-13 had so much fun learning about the game for two on-ice clinics. VGK broadcasters Shane Hnidy and Tahoe Knight Monsters Forward Anthony Collins joined the kids on the ice for teaching basic drills. Gary Lawless also partook in the fun with connecting with fans while recapping the Northern Nevada leg of the Road Trip!

The VGK staffers concluded the first leg of the road trip in familiar sights of Reno! They arrived to Reno Ice to continue the fun from young kids to puppies were excited to take part of the on-ice action!

Chance, Tessie the Knight Monster, and Archie joined forces for a quick little snap selfie at the rink!

After a day of rest, the team packed up their things and headed to Arizona! They began their Arizona Leg at Ice Den Chandler where Deryk Engelland met up with the team to help teach aspiring future hockey players some basics!

So much fun and excitement was radiating through the building as kids were playing games off the ice and fun giveaways and merch was available throughout the entire clinics!

The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation continued to grow the sport in the Phoenix Community as they went out to Sunnyslope Community Center. Dan D’Uva & Deryk Engelland participated in a Q&A ahead of the ball hockey clinics.

The ball hockey clinics are another important part of growing the game for VGK, as not only have they done them throughout the entire summer, they made sure to be a part of the communities in Arizona.

Dan D’Uva and Dave Goucher joined in all of the action in Arizona, where they participated in recapping the ongoing events and even did a Q&A with fans! At the end of the session, a lucky fan was able to take home four tickets to a 2025-26 VGK home game!

Sheri Hudspeth, Director of Youth Hockey Programs, works endelessly to put the VGK Road Trip together. Everyone comes together to ensure all VGK fans have a great time throughout all the clinics!

LosVGK hosted a ball hockey clinic to begin the final day of the Road Trip at Chicanos Por La Causa Community Center for spanish-speaking kids to join in on the fun!

Arizona State University had the mens and womens ice hockey teams come out to be special guests for the final stop of the 2025 VGK Road Trip!

Families and kids alike all came together for the love of the game and had the best time!

Over 700 kids took part in the 2025 VGK Road Trip across Northern Nevada and Arizona. The team cannot wait for the next time they will make their annual return!
