WickFest 2026! π₯ π
For the first time in its 16-year history, WickFest took place on U.S soil, selecting Las Vegas and City National Arena for its first festival outside of Canada.
Founded in 2010 by four-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Hockey Hall of Famer, Hayley Wickenheiser, this event has worked with over 40,000 female hockey players from countries around the world. The four-day event this year attracted over 600 players, and 35 teams, featuring an opening party at the ARIA Resort and Casino, autograph sessions and over 20 different clinics and workshops at City National Arena and Veterans Memorial Community Center, in additional to a full tournament.
Along with Wickenheiser, the girls were led by a group of elite athletes and Olympians, including Meghan Agosta, Jillian Dempsey, Kendra Fisher, Angela James, Amanda Pelkey and Haley Skarupa. Together, the group has a combined 11 Olympic medals, including nine gold. It was an inspiring weekend, and an exciting sign of the growth of girls hockey in the U.S and Southern Nevada.
