Reverse Retro 2.0
On October 20th, the Vegas Golden Knights launched their 2022-23 Reverse Retro Authentic Uniform. The black jersey is inspired by the old neon hotel signs of the famous Vegas Strip in the 1990s, and features details that tie to the Excalibur and Stardust hotels. The “Vegas” across the front utilizes the font of the famed Excalibur Hotel and the numbers on the back mirror the cosmic lettering of the outer-space themed Stardust hotel.
The design is inspired by the year 1995, celebrating the best season for the Las Vegas Thunder of the International Hockey League. A sword stripe adorns the side of the black pants, and the NHL shield is remixed in a vintage orange and black.
To bring the jersey to life, it glows when in the dark and under blacklight. The white lettering, numbering and sword glow brightly in the dark, while the red stripes shine as if made of neon themselves. This hidden feature makes the jersey the first of its kind, as unique as the city that inspires it. Inside the lettering are neon stars, again inspired by Stardust.
When the jerseys take to the ice, the in-game special effects bring the jerseys to life for fans. This one-of-a-kind jersey will make for a memorable knight at T-Mobile.
