A look at the Remaining Golden Knights' Expansion Draftees

A look at the Remaining Golden Knights' Expansion Draftees

Just like that, the Vegas Golden Knights are no longer the newest team in the NHL. With the Seattle Kraken drafting their team in the expansion draft last night, let’s see what the seven remaining original draftees are up to with the Golden Knights.

William Karlsson – Karlsson exploded onto the scene as he scored 43 goals in his first season with the Golden Knights. He has been a key contributor offensively since coming to Vegas and is a crucial part of the penalty kill. He led the team in goals during the Knights’ inaugural season and has continued to produce offensively, recording 219 points (96 G, 123 A) while with the team. Karlsson is currently signed through 2026-27.

Jonathan Marchessault – Marchessault has been one of the leaders of this team since arriving from the Florida Panthers and has been one of the most productive players offensively. In the 280 games played, he has produced 225 points (92 G, 133 A). Although, not the biggest player, he’s shown he can play with an edge and isn’t afraid to get in the dirty areas. His style of play has made him a fan favorite amongst Golden Knight fans. He’s signed through the 2023-24 season.

Brayden McNabb – McNabb may not be the flashiest player on the ice, but he’s been a steady presence on the blue line for Vegas after being selected from the Los Angeles Kings. The big-bodied defenseman has logged steady minutes while shutting down other teams. He is an impressive +48 in the past four seasons. As a heavy hitter, other teams must keep their heads up while they’re on the ice against him, because he will make you pay. He is signed through the 2021-22 season.

William CarrierCarrier was one of the first players selected for the Golden Knights from the Buffalo Sabres. Since then, he has established himself as a solid role player for the team. He has notched 46 points (22 G, 24 A) in 214 games played with Vegas. Carrier is currently signed through the 2023-24 season.

Tomas Nosek – Nosek was selected from the Detroit Red Wings. The veteran forward has been a great depth piece since coming to Vegas. In 240 games, Nosek has recorded 65 points (31 G, 34 A). He’s a big body and never takes a shift off. He is a pending unrestricted free agent this offseason.
