Zach Dean and Lukas Cormier Named to Team Canada's Selection Camp

The 2022 World Junior Championships are only a few weeks away and a couple of notable Golden Knights prospects will open selection camp with Team Canada. For most kids that grow up in Canada, playing and winning the whole tournament is everything.

Zach Dean, an Alberta native, will have a chance to represent his home country. Drafted in the first round by the Vegas Golden Knights, Dean returned to the QMJHL after spending rookie camp in Vegas. In six game so far, the 18-year-old has produced nine points (4 G, 5 A).

Lukas Cormier will also join his fellow prospect at selection camp for the second consecutive year. Cormier also spent time in camp with Vegas this year but ultimately went back to play another year in juniors. In 22 games with the Charlottetown Islanders of the QMJHL, he has recorded 30 points (11 G, 19 A).

These two youngsters have the chance to help Team Canada bring Gold back to Canada after falling in the final game to USA last year.
