VGK & Spread The Word Nevada Host Book Drive
The Vegas Golden Knights and Spread the Word Nevada are teaming up to help get books in the hands of Nevada's kids. Starting Thursday, September 3 book donations will be accepted at City National Arena through the end of September.
Individuals can make safe, socially distanced donations by dropping books off on the first floor of CNA at the box located near the Chance life size bobblehead. New or gently used books for all grade levels will be accepted.
Spread the Word Nevada is an organization dedicated to advancing literacy within low-income communities by changing lives one book at a time. With over half a million Nevada students impacted by COVID-19 school closures, many of whom do not have access to online learning opportunities, it's more important than ever to give books to some of our most vulnerable communities.
