Heart Of Gold Community Three Stars Of The Week: Week 1

Today the Vegas Golden Knights are announcing the first recipients of their Heart Of Gold Community Three Stars Of The Week initiative. This program recognizes extraordinary individuals throughout Nevada who are finding ways to make a difference during the COVID-19 health crisis.

Every week community members can click here to nominate someone they know who is making a difference in the community. Nominations for the week will be accepted until that Thursday at 10 a.m. A panel of judges from the Vegas Golden Knights will review all submissions and the three outstanding Nevadans will be recognized on Fridays through the team's social platforms. Individuals nominated must live in Nevada.

Check out our first group of community heroes below!

Wade Brush

Wade is the owner of 300 Industries, a Las Vegas based company that manufactures custom consumer and industrial products including stainless steel car and truck accessories, specialized wood and acrylic signs and direct-printed acrylic artwork. He reallocated his business resources to fabricate 1000 face shields for medical personnel throughout the Valley Health System to ensure their safety and protection while caring for patients. These face shields are made from a high quality material that can be wiped clean, sterilized & reused allowing healthcare staff to be confident in the quality of protection for themselves while they continue to diligently perform the job duties of patient care despite potential hazards that exist currently.

Judi Siegel

Judi, who is Vice President at the Seigel Group Nevada, has set up ongoing donations of Pink Box Doughnuts to all Valley hospitals, fire stations, police commands, correction facilities and ambulance services. To date, she has donated more than 14,000 doughnuts and will continue to do so until the crisis is over. She responds to every single request that comes in from a health care worker or first responder. She has also developed resource guides, set up food distributions and created 2,000 care packages for kids and seniors at all Siegel sites.
