Season Ticket Members Take Home History from Battle Worn Armor Sale
Vegas Golden Knights season ticket members flocked to City National Arena on Sunday for the teamβs first Battle Worn Armor sale. The Golden Knights staff collected the teamβs game-used and team-issued gear and offered season ticket members the chance to purchase items that belonged to their favorite players.
Some lucky fans left with unique goalie masks worn by Vegasβ netminders.
βOur members are incredibly special to us and one of the member benefits we wanted to make available was the game-used items from the inaugural season and last season,β said Chief Marketing Officer Brian Killingsworth. βIt gives them a chance to take home a piece of history and be able to proudly display it or, in some cases, skate with it.β
Of course Chance was on hand to bring some smiles!
βIt was a super fun experience,β said season ticket member Megan Ekstrom. βMost of what I bought is for friends, so Iβm ready for Christmas!β
Season ticket member Ruben Sanchez left with both hands full of special items, including some from the teamβs inaugural season.
βThese are things I can look back on and say βwow, I remember being there for all of that,ββ Sanchez said.
Members came out for four different sessions throughout the day and were able to buy and take home as much as they wanted.
βIt was fun to see each session new members came out and got so excited by all of the items,β Killingsworth said. βThese are things that you just canβt buy so this is one of those things that weβre excited to offer this year and we hope that it becomes a tradition.β
