Merrill Honored By State of Oklahoma
In the course of NHL history, only five players that were born in Oklahoma have suited up for NHL action. Vegas’ Jon Merrill is one of those five players. He was born in Oklahoma City on Feb. 3, 1992.
When the Golden Knights visited the Dallas Stars on March 15, Oklahoma State Representative and Golden Knights fan Shane Stone made the trip from Oklahoma City to Dallas for the game. He met up with Merrill after morning skate and presented him with a citation for being one of the five players born in Oklahoma to play in the NHL.
