Couple Married 62 Years Honored At VGK Game
The Vegas Golden Knights faced the Toronto Maple Leafs at T-Mobile Arena on Valentine’s Day. During the game, fans participated in “Last Couple Standing” as married couples stood up. The game was meant to find the couple that had been married the longest at the game and, as couples married for shorter periods of time sat down, James and Claudette Koller in section 101 kept standing, and standing, and standing. The Kollers’ 62-year marriage was the longest of any marriage at the game and they were awarded an eight-day trip to Hawaii courtesy of Somerpointe Resorts.
The Kollers said their lengthy marriage is thanks in large part to the respect they have for one another. They’ll celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary on May 4.
