Girl Power

Two-time United States Olympian Megan Bozek helped the Vegas Golden Knights kick off Women’s History Month in a special way, hosting more than 40 girls for an on-ice clinic at City National Arena on Tuesday, February 28.

The girls, ages 5 to 12, are all participants in the Golden Knights’ Learn to Play, Lil’ Knights or house league programs. Bozek, with the help of local coaches and players from the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights girls teams, put them through an hour of powerskating and station-based skills development.

Bozek shared her two Olympic silver medals and took photos and signed autographs for the girls as well.

The next night, Bozek took the ice as members of the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights skated during the first intermission of VGK’s first ever Women’s History Knight.
