Celebrating Black History Month!

In their game against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, February 26th, the Golden Knights celebrated Black History month with specialty jerseys, guest performers, auction bidding, and more!

During warmups of the game, the Knights wore Black History Night jerseys designed by VGK Motion Graphics Designer, Jalen Jones. The jerseys were later signed by their corresponding player and made available for purchase through an online auction. A portion of the proceeds from the jersey sales went to a scholarship fund through the Urban Chamber of Commerce.

After warmups, Nico Ali Walsh, professional boxer and grandson of Muhammad Ali, cranked the rally siren and pumped up the crowd for what was an exciting night. Following the second frame, Broadway in the Hood, a local youth organization, gave an engaging performance during the intermission.

To begin the third period, Roxann McCoy, President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, rang the siren in hopes of energizing the crowd and team. The Knights ultimately fell short in a 3-2 loss against the Avalanche, but Black History Night was still something to remember.

Official team merchandise for Black History Month is still available at The Arsenal at City National Arena.
