Prior to the start of the home opener Thursday, broadcasters, players, coaches and GM took to the gold carpet. They walked down stopping for photos and autographs before heading into the arena for game one.

Fans lined the rails waiting for their favorite player to walk by.

Broadcasters Dave Goucher and Shane Hnidy decided to step it up a notch and wear custom VGK suits.

The golden carpet event was a fun way to kick off the season and thank you to everyone who came out!
